Therapy for Young Adults (19-35+)
Being a young adult today can feel like a constant balancing act. It’s easy to feel like you’re not “doing life right”. You might be coming to therapy for something that’s new and present - starting a new job, moving to a new city, navigating a new relationship or getting over a breakup, or dealing with mental health symptoms that showed up out of the blue - or you may be coming to therapy because you feel stuck, overwhelmed, unsure why certain struggles persist, and feeling stuck in old patterns. You’re smart, capable, and driven—but anxiety, self-doubt, or ADHD might be getting in the way of living life the way you want.
how i can help
My approach combines practical tools of modern behavioral science with the depth and insight of psychodynamic therapy.
While every client’s therapy looks different, there are names for certain therapies that I integrate in practice which you may have heard of, such as: Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), cognitive behavioral therapy, Dialectic Behavior Therapy, Cognitive Processing Therapy (CPT), Lifespan Integration, and interpersonal/psychodynamic psychotherapy.
What this means is that we’ll not only work on making changes in the here-and-now, we’ll also explore deeper patterns, beliefs, and past experiences that might be holding you back. While I’ve helped people with a variety of goals, here are some of the issues I have specific training and experience with:
Obsessive Compulsive Disorder
Panic Attacks/Panic Disorder
Attention Deficit/Hyperactive Disorder
Executive Function
Trauma and Complex PTSD
Insomnia and Sleep Problems
Personality Disorders
Depression
Premera, Lifewise, and Blue Cross Blue Shield insurance accepted.
