Supporting Teens & Young Adults With ADHD

I’m a Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC) who specializes in helping teens and young adults with ADHD thrive—not just by working with them, but by supporting the parents who guide them every day.

ADHD can impact focus, motivation, emotional regulation, school performance, and family relationships. Many parents find themselves feeling overwhelmed, frustrated, or unsure how to help without constant conflict. You’re not failing—ADHD simply requires a different approach.

How I CAN Help

Individual therapy for ADHD involves helping clients to learn and practice new skills for managing their ADHD symptoms. This means not only learning about executive function strategies, but actually putting them into practice.

I help individual clients:

  • Gain insight into the ways ADHD impacts them

  • Challenge unhelpful narratives, messages, and beliefs about themselves

  • Create action plans for making meaningful change

  • Stop worrying and procrastinating, and get things done

For teens or young adults living at home, my work centers on helping parents better understand ADHD and develop practical, compassionate strategies that actually work. By supporting parents, I help create calmer homes, stronger relationships, and more confident teens and young adults.

I help parents:

  • Understand how ADHD affects behavior, emotions, and development

  • Learn effective communication and boundary-setting strategies

  • Reduce power struggles and improve family dynamics

  • Support executive functioning skills like organization, time management, and follow-through

  • Build consistency and confidence in their parenting approach
